The 1970s Punk Fashion for Men and Women

Punk fashion has been a very popular style since 1970s. And many fashion designers such as Vivienne Westwood and Jean Paul Gaultier have used punk elements in their production. Punk clothing, which was initially handmade, became mass produced and sold in a very large amount.

In the punk clothing, the favorite choices are in the below part. Jeans were always in design of dirty and torn with chains or studded leather bands or skirts for women. Leather skirts became a popular item for female who are fond of punk style clothing. Heavy chains were sometimes used as belts.
Several punks bought T-shirts or plaid flannel shirts and then wrote political slogans, band names or other punk-related phrases on them with punk marker pens. Jackets are another part that favored by punks. The one with studded and painted leather jackets are first choices.
In most cases, the pants or skirts with t-shirts and jackets in the outer side are a whole set of unique punk clothing. They are popular since 1970s till now.

  2. All the pictures you've included - including the clothes - are 80's punk. 70's punk was much more hand made - altering clothes (if you could sew), by ripping and writing on them.
